I had an awesome time this weekend! I got to shoot this amazing wedding of two people with an awesome story! To learn that they met each other, from worlds apart and the work that God has done in their lives is really quite amazing! I was so happy to be a part of their day! I want to say a special thanks to Events With Alexa for putting on a fantastic wedding, Melissa Timm Designs for the AMAZING flowers, and Suzanne Clayton for the amazing makeup work done for the bride! Here is a sneak peak of some of the photographs. Enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE drive-in movie theatres! I grew up going to them all the time up in Ohio, and I still think that is one of the best ways to see a movie. When Whitney and Scott told me about their wedding, and the plans they had to drive out in an old 57 Buick I was immediately thinking of ways to incorporate that cool car into the engagement photos. As we drove around doing some location scouting the Parkway Drive-In popped in my head as a cool location. Add in a cool vintage car, some popcorn, a couple glass bottle cokes, and you’ve got yourself a pretty nice set up for some great engagement pictures.
I absolutely love this couple! They are getting married this year in October at the same church that her mother, grandmother, and other important folks in her family have been married. Whitney actually keeps a pretty awesome blog about her upcoming wedding day called Gettin’ Hitched , and let me tell you… stuff like this is awesome for photographers/videographers like me. I can see faces, names, dates, and all other information pertaining to the big day. I have been recommending this idea to all my brides lately. Scott is a really awesome guy and he has added some elements in this wedding that I think are the absolute COOLEST. I won’t spoil it, buuuuuuutttt I will say, “one ring to rule them all…”
I hope you enjoy these photographs. I had an awesome time taking them. We even had some behind the scenes video taken for it so stay tuned for that!
So you know when you have that moment where you feel like you are living a sound track? Yeah, that was this wedding. We were so lucky to photograph this Knoxville wedding at Powell Church and The Foundry. The venues were amazing, the flowers were beautiful, but the best part of the day was the love of two young people coming together to create something amazing. (Insert mental soundtrack – “I finally found the love of a lifetime…” – you know you sang along.)
These two couldn’t be more amazing and more perfect for each other. In fact, every picture that I took made me smile more! Brianne was so creative and created an awesome backdrop for the church. The Foundry did a wonderful job as always and made the night perfect for a great party. The bridesmaids were some of the best we have seen. They were happy and excited for every part of the day. The groomsmen – I can’t even describe. These guys made us laugh so much. You could tell how amazing this couple was because the entire church was full! We could not have been more blessed to share in a love like this. May God bless this marriage.
Amanda and I traveled to Ohio this weekend to photography the wedding of TJ and Erika. It was an amazing time to say the least. Loads of good friends and great times… a little bit of rain, a sewing kit, and some giant umbrellas. The Simon Kenton Inn in Springfield, Ohio really puts on a great wedding. If you are getting married in that general area, I highly recommend it! Please enjoy this little sneak peak! Lots of great stuff came from this wedding and we are very excited show these to you!
